Are runes still useful in a no-powers playthrough?

Are runes still useful in a no-powers playthrough? - White Black High Top Shoes Hanging on Electric Line

I'm playing as Emily and decided to reject the Outsider's offer of powers. I've picked up at least one rune since then, maybe two, but I haven't seen any UI section where I can spend these runes to upgrade anything.

Is it missing because I went with the no-powers option and runes only upgrade power-related things, or am I just blind and missing the screen that lets me upgrade abilities?

Best Answer

Runes cannot be spent in a No Powers playthrough. Instead, every rune you pick up will automatically be converted to 200 coin.

In Dishonored 2, 47 runes total may be collected from the maps and more may be crafted with the Craft Runes upgrade for the Bonecharm Crafting ability, while 111 runes are needed to fully upgrade the protagonist's powers.

Are there enough runes in Dishonored 2?

The Outsider rules. But seriously, if you do refuse the mark and play without any supernatural abilities, then you will receive the coveted and well-named 'Flesh and Steel' Achievement. If you're really looking for creating nearly impossible goals for yourself - combine this with either a Merciful or Ghost playthrough.
