Attacked in Markarth, Skyrim
When I enter Markarth Keep and get to the first set of stairs towards the King all the guards become hostile and start attacking me. Nothing happens until I reach this point, not even if I drag my weapon. As soon as I reach the stairs they attack me, with or without my weapon drawn. I only have an 5 gold bounty, and I haven't threatened anybody. What's wrong? Have anybody else experienced this?

Try committing a minor crime in the city(not the keep) so a guard approaches you in the usual manner. Pay off your bounty or go to jail either way your bounty should reset to zero, preventing this from occurring.

Forsworn are coded to be hostile, when you escape cidna mine you are warned they will probably attack you on sight so stay away. They do attack you on sight, so either don't know you helped or don't care.What do you do if you accidentally attack someone in Skyrim?
Show activity on this post. Use stamina potions to run far away, then crouch in a bush until you're hidden. Then use the wait option and wait 24 hours twice, then you should be good for people being mad at you. But the guards wont forget, but they should not attack on sight anymore.Can you beat the Markarth guards?
It is possible to kill all the guards necessary and escape from the city without being caught. This leaves a bounty in Markarth which fades as usual.Stopping The Attack In Markarth
