Can I continue an old campaign with a new character?

Can I continue an old campaign with a new character? - Brown Concrete Brick Wall

I've just began playing the game and I'm not done with the campaign yet but I'd like to start playing with Zer0 without losing the advance. Can that be done, or do I have to start a new one?

You could use the techniques found in this question. It covers how to use a save editor very comprehensively.

Other than that, you'd have to start a new campaign.

Can you use the same character in different campaigns?

It depends on what the group is playing. If the character is thematically appropriate for that campaign, and you have (have had) fun playing them, go ahead. Re-use, re-cycle ;) Even if you only ever make one character and play them in every game you join, it's not rude, if the character 'fits'.
