I've got a balance in my Nintendo eShop that I want to use to buy a game for a friend. I've been searching for a way to do it when I found this Reddit post from 2015 that pointed to this Nintendo Support page. The support page appears to no longer exist.

Is there some way to purchase Nintendo eShop games and gift them to a different user?

How do I transfer money to another Nintendo Account?

Enter your Nintendo Account password, then select Send. The current balances from your Nintendo Account and NNID will appear. Select Merge Funds to combine them together. Your balances will be merged together.

How do I use Nintendo eShop balance?

If there are multiple user accounts on your system, select the account you want to use. Select your icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information. The following options are available: Current balance: View your current balance, add funds, and/or merge funds with a Nintendo Network ID.
