Can you return to earlier maps in Dishonored?
I'm doing my first play through* of Dishonored and since I'm going the full-stealth route, the process will be slow.
I wondering though - Can you return to earlier maps in Dishonored to grab goodies and upgrades you didn't fetch in earlier missions?
Because if you can't I'll either need to lose some spontaneity of play to search everywhere, or read spoilery walk-throughs beforehand.

Can you go back to areas in Dishonored?
You can move between areas in the sense that you can use doors in both directions to separated zones. However you cannot return to previous missions, and in Crack in the Slab you ability to return to prior zones may be affected by actions taken (so its best to get them all before leaving the zone).What is the prologue in Dishonored?
