Can you return to Skyhold during DA:I The Descent

Once you start The Descent DLC, are you able to go back to Skyhold, or is it like The Trespasser in that it locks you in to the new campaign until you've completed it? I heard that there's a new variant of the war table inside the Deep Roads, so I'm a little bit concerned about starting it and getting locked in by accident.
Thanks.

Can I play descent after Trespasser?
Re: (PC)D.A:I How can I play The Descent (DLC) after I finished the Trespasser? Descent takes place before the game's ending and the Trespasser DLC. If you want to play it, you'll have to load a save file from before the fight with Corypheus. How long is The Descent Dai?
Type:Single-PlayerPolledAverageMain Story194h 28mMain + Extras496h 14mCompletionists367h 54mAll PlayStyles1046h 29mDoes trespasser DLC end the game?
Note: Trespasser represents the end of the game. Activating the war table operation triggers a "point of no return"; you will no longer be able to travel to other areas via the World Map\u2014including Skyhold\u2014and you cannot do any quests from the main game or any other DLC, even after finishing the Trespasser content. What level should you be for The Descent?
For Descent the game recommends level 17 but I'd go a bit higher most of the gear you pick up is can't be used until you're at least level 19 or 20. I'd say the same for Jaws of Hakkon the gear you pick up there starts at level 20. Both the DLC are designed to be end game content so they're levelled very high.DA:I- Solas's Return
