Can't get Ulfic Stormcloak to agree with the peace truce in "SEASON UNENDING"

Every time I try to talk to Ulfric Stormcloak he always tells me to talk to Galmar because he needs me to run an errand. But... Every time I try and talk to Galmar he always tells me something about Ulfric joining the Empire. They always redirect me to each other! I also can't start the "JAGGED CROWN" quest because this quest is getting in my way! It puts me in a constant loop of nothing! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

If you can load an earlier save point - Upon completing the objective in Joining the Stormcloaks, enter the Palace of Kings and proceed to the room where Ulfric and Galmar are debating and instantly talk to Ulfric. It requires multiple attempts of requesting to talk before he finally does but once he talks to you, you will be able to continue the Season Unending quest as normal.

How do you get the greybeards help in negotiating a truce?

The Dragonborn will speak to the Greybeards, who will agree to help negotiate a truce. Arngeir will suggest the Dragonborn speak to both General Tullius and Ulfric Stormcloak, and extend an invitation to meet with the Greybeards and discuss the future of Skyrim.

Why is Season Unending not working?

If you've started the quest to join the Legion or Stormcloaks the quest to retrieve the Jagged Crown, or at the Whiterun stage of the war Season Unending won't work properly. Completing the quests should allow it to work (and completing the war stops the quest from happening altogether).

season unending is connected to the civil war but will not effect it much. you can still do it but depending on what you do in season unending it will be slightly different.
