Can't level up after level-50 in borderlands 2 in True vault hunter mode

I am currently playing the Borderlands 2 game in True vault hunter mode. I am at 50th level. I have observed that I am no more being leveled up by killing enemies or by completing missions.

What could be the reason? Thanks

What is the max level in Borderlands 2 True Vault Hunter Mode?

The mode is unlocked for a character once they have completed the story missions in the True Vault Hunter Mode and have reached the level cap (minus the DLC) of 50.

How do you level up in True Vault Hunter Mode?

When you enter True Vault Hunter Mode, you have to complete the story quests for that playthrough in order to get the mission. After completing the quest and killing Terramorphous the Invincible, all enemies will be scaled up to level 50.

Can you get to level 72 in True Vault Hunter Mode?

No, you cannot reach level 72 without True or Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode. On a normal playthrough, your level is capped at 50. You will not be able to get higher than level 50 until you attempt playthroughs 2 or 3.
