Do dinosaurs need to be mate boosted to lay eggs

Recently Ark has had eggs added into the game for most dinosaurs, I have been lucky enough to come across some in the wild and my dodos have laid eggs. However some of my female dinosaurs do not seem to lay eggs at all.

I was wondering if they need to be paired as male & female in order for them to produce eggs? Can anyone confirm this?

Can dinos lay unfertilized eggs?

Only female dinosaurs can lay eggs. Every creature which is capable of laying an egg has the exact same laying rate (except for Dodos). Currently female dinos will drop eggs continuously, no matter if the player is around or not.

How do you force dinos to lay eggs?

Dodo's have a chance to lay an egg every time they poop. So force-feed them a bunch of stimberries (That will make them poop, and lay eggs)!

Do female dinos need a male to lay eggs ark?

Make sure you have your egg layers mate boosted. You'll always need at least 1 male dino for all your females. Mate boosting doubles the chance of an egg dropping. Next, tame an oviraptor and that makes it so there's something like a chance every 11 minutes to drop an egg.
