OK, so I have been wanting to get into super Mario galaxy speedrunning for a while now. I know that for a 100 percent all stars are required. However, I also know that there is an extra star you can get by 100% the game with Luigi. I can't imagine that this would be included in a 100 percent speedrun. Is it?

What happens if you 100% Mario Galaxy?

For Mario Galaxy's original release, players who 100% completed the game were given photos that went to your Wii message board and you could also send them to friends. Do you need every star Mario Galaxy?

This star is the 121st and true final star in the game, found in the Grand Finale Galaxy. To unlock it, you must get all 120 stars and defeat Bowser with both Mario AND Luigi. Once you do, you can access this galaxy from the Planet of Trials, in the center. Just speak to the Luma to launch off to the galaxy.

Do you get anything for beating Super Mario Galaxy as Luigi?
