How do I find the writing in/on the FEZ Tome artifact
I've seen people translate the Tome artifact's text, but my question is: how do I even see any encoded text at all. The tome artifact just looks like a closed book. I've tried examining it in the inventory menu, and pushing every button I can think of, but it doesn't open or anything. What am I missing? All my googling just tells me the solutions, but where is the puzzle?

How to open Tome fez?
The Tome is located in a secret room in what looks like an ancient greek building. Once you walk into this building the room will seemingly be empty except for a bookshelf. You can slide open the bookshelf by pressing x and pushing up on the d-pad. It will reveal a hidden room containing the Tome.What are the artifacts for in fez?
