I was not paying attention to my intrigue level and lost my capital city to a Coup. I had plenty of units near by so went in to get it back. The city went to 1hp, but that was it. I was unable to take it back. No amount of force would allow me to move in. What am I doing wrong?

How do I get my old city back in SimCity?

Here's how to recover your saved city:
  • Download the game on your new device.
  • Play through the tutorial until the City Advisor tells you that you're on your own.
  • Tap the Settings icon and log in with your account. No login buttons? You're not done with the tutorial yet, so keep going.
