Is it possible to have a stable 'uGridsToLoad' setting at 11 or 13? If so, do you have any tips on what I can do to ensure that 'uGridsToLoad' runs as smooth as possible?

How can I make Skyrim run smoother?
Lower yourrl resolution and graphics settings, anti-aliasing makes Skyrim laggy as oblivion. There are some mods you can get that will help with performance issues. I've never used any, but they should be able to help with your framerate a bit. Also make sure to close unused background processes in task manager. What settings should I run Skyrim in?
Skyrim by default recommends ultra settings, but with these settings my fps will drop from 60 to 30-40 in cities like Whiterun and Solitude, especially when standing in front of Dragonsreach. When I tone settings down to medium with high textures I can get a stable 55-60 most of the time.Skyrim : ini File Guide
