How do I play quests with a friend?

A friend and I started playing TERA and have finished the section on Stepstone Isle and are now in Velika. We are in a party together and have added each other to our friends lists. So far any main story quests we've done have been separate, so we were just doing them at the same time.

After some Googling, I found that we can share quests and complete objectives together, but everywhere I look has something different to say on how to do this.

How can we complete quests together? If we can only do certain quests together, how do I tell which those are?

Can you do story quest with friends?

You'll join an in-progress quest. You can also post your own Hub Quest and open it for others to join by posting a quest at the Hub Quest Counter and choosing "Accept via Join Request." Then, others may join your quest while you're on it (so yes, you have to start the quest - players won't join your lobby this way).

Can you co-op on quests?

If an Archon Quest or Story Quest, or any quest that manipulates the world, is currently in progress, the player cannot participate in Co-Op. (Certain quests may temporarily re-enable Co-Op Mode in between steps.)

Can you do story quests with friends in Monster Hunter Rise?

Are Monster Hunter Rise Village Quests Multiplayer-Compatible? Unfortunately, no. Kamura Village's quests are solely designed for a single-player experience. They are unable to be attempted with allies, outside of AI-controlled Palicos and Palamutes.

How do you play quests with friends new world?

Click the icon under the social menu icon, then add your friends to a group. You'll see their names appear in blue on the screen and a waypoint marker showing where they are. The catch is you can only do this with friends playing in the same world.
