How do I prevent my imbecile son from being an heir? [duplicate]

How do I prevent my imbecile son from being an heir? [duplicate] - Frame with text placed on blackboard with sterile mask

I have a daughter and two younger sons; they are all marrying geniuses.

My oldest son is inheriting everything and he is an imbecile. My oldest son isn't a traitor so I have no legal rights to imprison or execute him; he's just very unwanted.

How can I make my daughter or younger son an heir, instead of my oldest (imbecile) son?

Best Answer

You can give your son a duchy or viceroalty, and then ask to retract one of his vassals. For a mere -10 global modifier (that expires within 10 years), he will rebel. Once you imprison him, you can execute him for treason.
