How to beat Loatheb on heroic mode?
Loatheb has a hero power which deals 3 damage to the enemy hero which has a 0 mana cost. He also starts with the coin and has 99 life.
You can't use Alexstrasza. I've tried a heal paladin, but can't make it work.
How can he be beaten?

Your best bets are zoo decks with low cost creatures or decks like tempo warrior...You will have to take control of the board as soon as possible,so that when the spore comes in to play you have as many minions as possible to maximize the damage gain.

I've defeated loatheb right now with a druid deck. Naturalize is the key to getting rid of the creeper..and then use as many low cost minions as you can.

I won against him with a Hunter beast deck. But I was lucky as hell so I cant claim it was skills. Anyway, I got two Unleash the hounds early and Loatheb had 2-3 spores out. So yeah, went fast from there :)
