How to change gamplay to gamepad on Blacklist Wii U - Park in Autumn

How can you go from TV play to gamepad play in Blacklist on the Wii U? You can change it easily at the beginning of the game, by tapping the gamepad, but it isn't that easy when the tv is turned off, or suddenly occupied by your evil twin sister. I know it is in the menu somewhere, but how to do this blindly?

How do you switch from Wii U to gamepad?

Enable Options > Separate GamePad View in Cemu. Move the GamePad window over to the "monitor" on your Switch and maximize it. Launch your game and enjoy.

Can you just use the Wii U GamePad?

The console is an essential part of the Wii U system. Without it, the controller is useless. Even though you can opt to play Wii U games on the controller's embedded screen instead of on a television, the controller is not a separate game console.

Can I use Wii U Pro controller instead of gamepad?

Even basic console setup requires the gamepad too. You can use the Wii Remote or the Wii U Pro Controller, but those are usually options in some of (not all) the games or when choosing a game from the main menu. Everything else requires the gamepad, setting up, apps, that sort of thing.

Can you change Wii U settings without gamepad?

No it doesn't. You can boot the Wii U with a Wiimote or a Pro Controller. Then you just need to switch the view on your TV's screen from the Miiverse plaza to the main menu (where all your games, apps and settings are).
