It's possible to create custom character portraits in Wizardry 8, I've seen it done before. But just now looking (googling) for guides on how to create a portrait and how to import it I came up empty.

I found like a dozen links to guides, tools or character packs, all of which are miraculously dead.

So how do I create and import a custom character portrait?

How do I add custom portraits to Wizardry 8?

Now open the STI Editor, and open the . sti file you just moved to "Wizardry 8/data/portraits/medium/". On the left hand side you will see a color index....Reinstalling:
  • Move the . ...
  • Move the . ...
  • Open the Wizardry 8 Portrait editor and hit create archive.
  • It's done, it's back in.


  • How do you make a custom portrait?

  • Choose an image you want.
  • Go to http://image.online-convert.com/convert-to-tga and follow the steps. You\xb4ll need to input a size of 128 x 128 pixels.
  • Finally put your generated tga files in My documents-->Almost Human-->Legend of Grimrock-->Portraits.
