If I ignore Pokemon I don't want... could I miss out on other spawns?

If I ignore Pokemon that have spawned (for example, if don't want another Pidgey or Doduo), will it prevent some spawning of other Pokemon?

I have seen up to three Pokemon spawn at once during a lure, but I'm wondering - if I ignore all of them, will I potentially 'miss out' on the spawning of other nearby Pokemon? Should I just be trying to catch everything I see, even if I don't want it, so that I see every possible spawn?

(I'm particularly asking regarding during lures, but I imagine the behaviour of the game in this aspect could be the same whether or not there is a lure in place).

How long will a Pokémon stay in one spot?

Once a Pokemon spawns in an area, they do not move in that area until they despawn. So generally they will be in the same spot for 15 minutes. What's not clear is when they despawn, there does seem to be a better than random chance they will respawn in an adjacent area.

How do you reset wild area spawns?

In theory, the same groups of Pok\xe9mon (usually ranging in the same one or two types, such as rock or ground, with common to very rare spawns within them) will spawn in the same radius - the radius being a small point, or a large area.

How do Pokemon go spawns work?

Every three months, you can expect to see a new Season in Pok\xe9mon GO that brings major changes, such as the following: Different Pok\xe9mon will be appearing more often in the wild, hatching from Eggs, and appearing in raids and Mega Raids.
