You have to rescue certain amount of Zoombinis to the Zoombiniville (at the end of the castle) about 2-3 times before you get onto the next difficulty which would be "Oh So Hard", then do the same task like 4-5 times to the Zoombiniville then you will automatically be on the next "Very Hard" difficulty level.

Players take on the role of guide and help the Zoombinis reach the safety of Zoombiniville. Use logic, analyze data, spot patterns and hone problem solving skills. Players face a series of increasingly difficult challenges that stand between the Zoombinis and freedom.

How do you get 16 Zoombinis?

Place the Zoombinis on the rocks until there are 16 and click the arrow for the final path. At Lion's Lair the Zoombinis must be placed in a certain order to pass and clues may be found in the hieroglyphs on the Lion statue. At higher levels there is a hierarchy of sorting criteria and the clues are incomplete.
