Is there an easy way to obtain Pokérus?

I've heard that Pokérus accelerates EV training, but the virus is much rarer than a shiny Pokemon. I searched in the grass for about 3 hours, but for the life of me, I can't find a Pokérus-infected Pokemon.

Is there any way to get it easily or do I really have to get it from someone else?

You can ask for help on several forums, I usually use Neoseeker.
Pokerus is really common in the metagame, so if you post a request asking for an "infected" pokemon you'll get one easily.
Or you can spend a couple of hours with Wonder Trade, it's not rare to recieve an infected pokemon. Several trainers trade infected pokemon to help newbie ones.

In fact, your Pok\xe9mon have a 1/21,845 chance of generating the virus. That makes it rarer to catch the virus than it is to catch or hatch a regular shiny Pok\xe9mon.

How hard is it to get pokerus?

Pok\xe9rus has a 3 in 65,536 or approximately a 1 in 21,845 chance of being generated on one of the player's Pok\xe9mon after a battle, making it rarer than encountering or hatching a Shiny Pok\xe9mon. If any of the player's Pok\xe9mon are infected, the Pok\xe9rus may spread among Pok\xe9mon in the player's party after any battle.

Can you keep Pokerus forever?
