On the Xbox S in the browser Microsoft Edge (there is unfortunately no other browser) I browse my Nextcloud Web UI from time to time.

How can I increase the resolution to 4k or at least 1080p? In games 4k is no problem at all.

Is there a higher resolution on Xbox X? Are there any hardware limitations? What is the reason for the low resolution as default?

How do I turn on 4K on Series S?

Press the Xbox button \ue3e3 to open the guide. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options. Under Display, select a resolution of 720p or 1080p. Under Advanced, select Video modes and make sure Allow 4K is checked.

How do I get 4K UHD on Xbox Series S?

For streaming video, the Series X can do native 4K and upscale to 8K, while the series S upscales to 4K.
