New HDD for my PS3 Super Slim 12 GB
I have a PS3 Super Slim with 12 GB of flash. I need to expand its storage to install games.
I still haven't bought the HDD, but I wanted to ask, since I can't seem to find the answer anywhere, if I need to perform any kind of backup of the datas I have before putting the new HDD in.
I'm mostly worried with saves, since I don't actually have any other important file...

Go to Playstation.com or Sony.com and find your region, then locate manual PS3 firmware update. When you have the update, place it inside a USB and insert it into the PS3. It should slide out without much effort. The PS3's hard drive is fixed to a metal plate using four little screws on its underside. You'll need to remove all four to change your old PS3 hard drive for your new one.
