Playstation Plus - Will different account subscription activate locked games?

I bought PlayStation 4 a year ago which was also my first PlayStation. My friend recommended that I should have two accounts.

UK Account for playing games with PlayStation Plus subscription.
- Already have multiple free games.
US Account to buy games from the store.
- Already bought few games.

This question seems like a duplicate but I didn't find a Q/A that specific.

Question: Now my UK account's Plus membership has expired. I don't see why I should keep both the accounts. I'm wondering... If I will buy Plus membership for my US account, will that unlock my previously 'owned' games I got through the UK account?

Can another account play my PS Plus games?

Unfortunately you cannot play those free PS+ games when your subscription is over even if there's a different user on your PS4 with a PS+ Your account has to have PS+ in order to get those free games.

How do you play locked games on PlayStation Plus?

There are ways to help unlock these locked games on either platform....In order to make it the primary PS4:

Click on Account Management in the menu.

Select "Activate as Your Primary PS4."

Once selected as Primary, select the "Restore Licenses" option to unlock all PS Plus free games.
