Pokemon GO isn't working on my iPod 5g [duplicate] - Yellow Pikachu Plushmascot

When I open Pokemon GO all I get is a black screen and then the app closes. I have a iPod 5th gen. I've been looking forward to this game for a long time so how can I fix this?

Best Answer

The iPod 5G doesn't come with a GPS installed, so it can't play Pokémon go.

Can you play Pokémon GO on iPod touch 5th generation?

You can not play Pokemon GO on an iPod Touch 5G reliably. As Pokemon GO requires players and their devices to provide the game with an accurate position (which WiFi triangulation does not), you will face frequent GPS errors.
