How do I get the quarried stone for my house in Skyrim? I've found the mines for it, but after I mine I don't receive any of the stones.

Quarried stone and clay can be found in small infinite deposits near the location you are building your home.

Quarried Stone is found in two distinct places in Skyrim: the chests near each homestead's Drafting Table and Carpenter's Workshop, and in Stone Quarries spread out throughout the province. Unfortunately, there is nowhere to buy Quarried Stone in Skyrim, it must be harvested or gathered from these chests.

Quarry stone DOES respawn but it takes a while, I'm guessing 30 days. Mining quarry stone is what I have found to be the best way early in the game to make money without it pushing up your levels at all, just like chopping wood.
