Rushing TH in C.O.C [duplicate] - Woman in Black Blazer Standing Near Building

I am wondering what the advantages and disadvantages are for upgrading you town hall before maxing everything else out.

I have heard that rushing isn't worth unlocking new things and that going against lower town halls will allow you to take less loot from them. How much less, and where is this confirmed? Yet, upgrading your TH sometimes results in a lower % amount of loot that enemies can take from your storages. Yes the cap increases, but one could stay below a certain amount of gold so that the lower % is more worth it. See here For example, let's say the cap increases from 150k to 300k but the % loot available to be stolen from storages decreases from 20% to 10% when I upgrade my TH. If I had 750k gold with the lower TH, they could steal 150k, but when I upgrade my TH, I can have up to 1.5 million gold by the time they can take 150k, so as long as I have less than 1.5 million gold/elixir before logging off, they can steal less loot with that higher TH. What are all the advantages and disadvantages of rushing in Clash of Clans, and I want sources for statistics.

The main disadvantage of rushing is war-weight if you rush your town hall and didn't focus on maxing troops and buildings then most of your opponents will be same as your town hall but have tough troops and buildings then yours.

Is rushing a good idea in COC?

Rushing can be beneficial and better than maxing. This guide is mainly for Home Village Rushing, but mentions Builder Base Rushing a bit. I shall assume that you know how to play clash of clans but are not an expert for this strategy guide.
