Should I play Enemy Unknown before Enemy Within?

I bought on Steam both XCOM Enemy Unknown and its expansion Enemy Within. When I launch the game it lets me choose if I want to play Enemy Unknown or Enemy Within.

There is any reason to play without the expansion first?

Do you need Enemy Unknown for Enemy Within?

yes you do need to have XCOM: Enemy Unkown Installed. Enemy within is a DLC, not a stand alone.

Should you play XCOM: Enemy Unknown before XCOM 2?

It's entirely up to you, but I highly recommend starting with Enemy Unknown, then Enemy Within, THEN XCOM 2. XCOM 2 is BRUTAL compared to EU and EW. (By the way, if you skip straight to XCOM 2, I highly highly HIGHLY recommend the Disable Timers mod.
