taming creatures in Ark Survival Evolved

I have tried taming multiple low level creatures in Ark, i have noticed sometimes it says they are being tamed slowly or not at all even after i feed them food of their type. What is the most efficient way to tame animals?

Usually when you tame a dino it takes a while for the taming bar to start to increase. Use prime meat if you want it done faster or kibble depending on what dino you are taming.
