Trying to attract certain dwellers

this is not meant to be racist in ANY way, but I'm trying to attract more black dwellers into my vault. I just keep getting white males: Usually that ratio is 9 white males to 1 white female. Does anyone have any idea why that is?

Nothing racist about having a theme(especially if you look at the lore behind the game), but no there is no way to do this.

There are tool online that u can use to change your dwellers (including skin color).

but if you want to do it without cheating the only way is to restart the game a few times and try to get as many dwellers of your preferred skin as you can. If that's not an option due to loss of progress your only solution would be to "breed it out".

How do you attract dwellers?

The fastest and easiest way to do get more dwellers in Fallout Shelter is through the natural method \u2013 conception. Female dwellers can get pregnant if you pair them up with a male dweller in the living quarters. The higher their charisma, the faster it'll take them to get straight to the action and get pregnant.

How do you attract a legendary dweller in Fallout Shelter?

Legendary Dwellers can be obtained via Cards found in Lunchboxes you unlock. These Dwellers will start at a high level and have 40 SPECIAL stat points distributed between all of their stats. Legendary Dwellers come equipped with an Outfit and/or a Weapon, which you can also equip onto other Dwellers within your Vault.

How do I make a dweller happy?

Give them some time with the opposite sex in the living rooms. It will lift their spirits and make them happy. If they are in any other room, their happiness will raise to at least 75%. If they are sick, a little RadAway and/or stimpaks will increase their happiness.

How do you tell if a dweller is in the right room?

You can check a dweller's stats to see what room they're best suited for, or simply drag them to the room in question to see what number they'll add to its overall production rating.
