Using Apple EarPods (MFI) with Xbox One Headset Adapter
So I have some Apple EarPods, as well as some other nice MFI (Made For iPhone) headsets that I'd like to use with my Xbox One's headset adapter. Right now, I can get audio just fine, game and voice. But the microphone doesn't work.
From what I've gathered, there's a difference in the connections between different kinds of headsets. There's CTIA, OMTP, and I believe apple uses CTIA (or at least a kind of it). Microsofts support page (http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/connect-compatible-headset) says that they support CTIA, and from the diagrams I've read, it seems that apple uses CTIA...
So what gives? I keep on hearing people say "just buy a new headset," but that doesn't answer the question (and I'd like to keep my headphones). I guess I'm looking for an adapter, but I'm not sure what kind.
