Does leaving a trials match count as a loss?

Multiple times seeing teams leave just as the match starts and it doesn't count as a win (and I'm guessing not a loss for them). These teams are gaming matchups.

How do Trials of Osiris tickets work?

Players that compete in the Trials of Osiris will have all of their games tracked through a Passage\u2014a ticket purchased from Saint-14. Winning rounds and matches in Trials will grant exclusive weapons, armor, pinnacle gear, Masterwork materials, and even Adept gear for the most skilled players.

How do Passages work Trials?

What are Trials passages? Trials passages track your progress through Trials of Osiris, but they each come with a unique perk. One will give you a bonus win if you manage to get to three victories without defeat, and another will ignore your first loss. If you were around for Destiny 1, they used to be called boons.

What drops from Trials Engrams?

Each rank up in Trials Reputation will reward a Trials Engram. These Engrams will contain any piece of Trials gear that a player has previously earned. Every 3 rank-ups will reward a powerful Trials engram. When Trials rank is maxed out, it can be reset for an Ascendant Shard or an Exotic Engram.
