Why is Terran so hard?

Every Terran unit requires some kind of micro or APM. Hellions must kite to counter zerglings, and reapers - you must control them every 2-5 seconds so they can give some profit such as scouting or killing a worker. Marines are viable ONLY when splitted and/or kiting.

Is Terran underpowered?

To me, a balanced game means that each race is equally viable at each stage of the game (beginning, middle, and end). But late-game we are so underwhelming. Both Zerg and Protoss are so strong late game.

Is Terran hard to play?

We like to kid ourselves, but Terran has always been the hardest race to play. This is evident in how Terrans are pushed to lower levels of the ladder and how Terrans are so rare at the tournament level.
