Our empire just conquered, for the first time, an enemy planet and have an army and a general controlling it.

Our commanders are debating whether to leave an army or not.

What's the minimal army that we should leave so that the population won't resist and we'll lose it to rebels?

Should we leave the general in that planet?

How do you move the army Stellaris?

So first you need to recruit the army on your planets. Then if you select that planet and go to the armies screen, in the top left of that panel there is a button named "embark all" this will move all your armies to the orbit of the planet where you can then move them like regular ships.

How do you take over planets in war in Stellaris?

You need to land armies on the planet. If the planet you're trying to take over still has opposing armies in it, they'll duke it out, and if you're victorious, the planet is yours. If you bombed all the opposing armies into the grave, you can land your armies and they'll take over the planet immediately.

How do you make ground armies Stellaris?

I'll break it down in order.
  • Place claims - You can only take control of systems you have claims on after the war.
  • Make sure to claim all systems with habited planets.
  • Occupy claimed systems with your fleets.
  • Occupy claimed planets with your armies.
  • War ends, you win, empire is eliminated.
