Why am I spawning random familiars as Lilith?

So I'm playing as Lilith and for some reason I keep spawning random familiars. I picked up Little Steven but Succubus and the Leech are not familiars I acquired via shop or item room. Where did they come from?

What does Lilith start with Isaac?

Cambion Conception is always listed as one of Lilith's starting items, even if it has not been unlocked. Bethany, are the only non-tainted characters whose unlock conditions require a specific character.

Does BFFS work on Lilith?

As Platinum God states, BFFS! pickup makes your familiars do more damage. Lilith's incubus definitely seems to be enlarged after picking up the item, but does it's damage increase too? While it seems reasonable that Incubus is also affected, its tears size does not increase.

Do flies count as familiars?

Isaac cannot have more than 64 total familiars at once. This includes blue spiders and flies, familiar items such as Dry Baby, Tainted Eve's blood clots, etc.

What does Cambion conception do?

Cambion Conception: Having a second Cambion Conception allows the player to get the eight familiars, but cannot give an already obtained familiar.
