60fps ingame vs 60fps on Youtube - Person Holding Canon Dslr Camera Close-up Photo

I've wanted to ask this question for a while now... Why doesn't my 200fps in game with Vsync off look as smooth as 60fps on Youtube? I play CS:GO and my game doesn't look as good as Youtube. Any explanations?

Best Answer

Because your video card doesn't space those frames out in equal measures. So the resulting motion is janky.

Vsync helps somewhat, but there is much more real work to be done on the drivers by popular video accelerator makers before this improves much.

Is 60fps better for YouTube?

What Frame Rate Should I Use for YouTube? YouTube recommends and supports 24 to 60FPS with a maximum of 8K video support(recently added).

Is 30 FPS or 60fps better for YouTube?

YouTube recommends video creators to shoot video at their recording device's native frame rate. Therefore, you should film content at 24-25 FPS. If you happen to shoot at 30 FPS, this is also perfectly acceptable. YouTube also supports 60 FPS.

Does YouTube play videos at 60fps?

V-Sync does not mean each frame is rendered at the same speed, it just renders how ever many frames your monitor can display every second. That's why frame pacing is very important. That is also why YT videos (with proper rendering) looks so smooth.
