Can more than one Pokémon get Pokérus after encountering a Pokérus-infected wild Pokémon?

Can more than one Pokémon get Pokérus after encountering a Pokérus-infected wild Pokémon? - From above of verdant ripe leaves of pok choi placed on blue background

I was hatching eggs with a Talonflame at the front of my party, when I accidentally ran into the grass. Afterwards, I accidentally ran into the grass again and once again ran like last time.

Then, when the egg in my second slot (top right) hatched, I noticed that it had Pokérus. I just put it in my box and kept hatching eggs. But when I hatched the next egg (formerly in the third slot of my party, now in second) I noticed it also had Pokérus. After checking the Wikipedia article on Pokérus, it said that it could only spread adjacently, so after that second battle it could've only spread to either my Talonflame or my egg in the fourth slot and not the egg in the third slot.

So my question is: Can Pokérus spread to two Pokémon at once after encountering an infected wild Pokémon, or did I find two Pokérus-infected Pokémon in a row?

Can Pokémon get pokerus twice?

Since Pok\xe9rus isn't technically a status condition within the game, you cannot heal the infection with items or by going to a Pok\xe9mon Center. The condition automatically clears up after four days and, similar to Chicken Pox, once your Pok\xe9mon is no longer infected, it can never catch Pok\xe9rus again.

Can Pokémon be reinfected with Pokerus?

Pok\xe9rus spreads from an infected Pok\xe9mon to a healthy one through battling or training with the infected Pok\xe9mon. The virus, however, does not last forever; after two days or so, it will wear off of the Pok\xe9mon and will not be able to be received again.

What is the fastest way to infect Pokerus?

In order to spread the virus, keep the infected Pokemon in your party around non-infected Pokemon, and start a few battles. After a few battles, atleast one new Pokemon should catch Pokerus. You can try switching around the Pokemon to make sure it spreads quickly.

How many battles does it take for Pokerus to spread?

It should be noted that you can infect a maximum of 5 Pokemon in between PC visits, but only with 2 or more battles (based on the RNG result). Basically, you put the one infected Pokemon in any slot, battle until it spreads Pokerus, then put two infected Pokemon in slots 2 and 5 and battle until it spreads again.
