Can only have five bots in CS GO and competitive mode

I would like to play alone (or with some friends) against 10 bots. When selecting "casual", this is working pretty fine. (The bots are only added to the CT team, there is no kind of team balancing, there is no check, if one team has more members than the other, maxplayers is set to 20)

But as soon as I switch to competitive mode, there are only 5 bots allowed. When trying to add one more bot to the CT team on the server console, a message is shown that the team be full. I did not find any difference between the gamemode_casual cfg file and the gamemode_competitive file.

Does anyone have a clue why this phenomenon is shown?

How do you add more than 5 bots in CS:GO?

Type in bot_quota [value] to set a max number of bots allowed. The default value is 10. Type in bot_add [team] [difficulty] to add a bot. Repeat until satisfied.

How do you take off the bot limit in CS:GO?

First, open up the console by pressing the ~ key. Next, type in \u201cmp_limitteams 1\u201d and hit enter to stop bots from rejoining the game. Then, type in \u201cmp_autoteambalance 0\u201d to stop bots balancing the teams. Finally, input \u201cbot_kick\u201d to remove all bots from the server.

Why are there no more bots in CS:GO?

Valve has made it clear in the past that they don't want to do that. Reason being is if they do those kinds of improvements to the bots, that would just encourage people to kick more often. They want having a bot to clearly be worse than an actual player.

How many bots are there in CS:GO?

Normally, when playing offline with bots, the game will start with a total of 9 bots for both teams (5 players on each team). Unlike older games, the number of bots in the game cannot be selected in a menu.
