Can't be summoned on Old Iron King

I've been trying to help people on Dark Souls 2 with the Iron King boss, but every time I get summoned, when the summoning player enters the mist I immediately get sent back to my world.

Is Iron King a solo-only fight? For what it's worth, I only used the Small White Sign Soapstone so I can get Smooth & Silky Stones. I am level 125, with Soul Memory of 1,984,871, and am playing on NG.

Bit late with this reply but A second Pursuer appears where the Smelter demon was and that you can't take a phantom with you into this fight. This may be the reason you where getting unsummoned.

How do you spawn old iron king?

I just beat smelter and moved on th the next fire, beat old iron king. I went back to the fire past smelter (not belfry sol fire) and used an aesthetic assuming it would respawn the old king.

What is the easiest way to beat the old iron king?

For maximum comfort, your level should be 95 or higher\u2014it's not completely necessary, but again, Crown of the Old Iron King is pretty challenging. I stumbled into it with a level 120 character\u2014which might have been overkill\u2014and found its difficulty to be just right.
