Can't maximise Minecraft after toggling Fullscreen with F11?

Can't maximise Minecraft after toggling Fullscreen with F11? - From above of plates with remains of various dishes left after festive dinner on table with cutlery and flowers

I accidently pressed F11 for PC minecraft and now the screen's all messed up.

When I turn Fullscreen OFF, it minimises, but the button to maximise is not working anymore.

How do I reverse it to normal?

Best Answer

Restart the game

Before exiting the game, set Fullscreen to OFF.

Upon starting Minecraft again, the option to maximize will be enabled.

If you don't want this to happen again, you can try disabling the F11 key temporarily using an AutoHotkey script. For more help on this, you may want to open a different question.

What happens when you press F11 in Minecraft?

We can switch between Full Screen mode and Window mode by simply pressing F11 in Minecraft: Java Edition.

How do I toggle Minecraft full screen?

When starting Minecraft, click on \u201cOptions\u201d and then select \u201cVideo Settings.\u201d You'll then scroll down a ways until you see the \u201cFullscreen\u201d toggle on the left hand column of options. Click that to \u201cON\u201d and you got yourself a nice, full-screen Minecraft session.

Why does my Minecraft look zoomed in?

It's probably the difference between Minecraft's own fullscreen mode, and the Windows version / graphics card version of it. When you press F11, it's just stretched, but when you go into the options and choose fullscreen, Minecraft will render your screen.
