Can't see any servers on Minecraft Java Edition Win10

Can't see any servers on Minecraft Java Edition Win10 - Black Laptop Computer Turned on Showing Computer Codes

Everytime I go to multiplayer on Minecraft Java Edition for Windows 10, it starts scanning but it doesnt stop, not showing any results for multiplayer games.

If I do a direct connection, it works though. Can anyone explain why this happens and how can I fix it?

Best Answer

When you click Multiplayer, it will show you the list of servers that you have manually saved to the list. You see the 'Scanning' message because it is looking for worlds that are open to LAN (on your home network).

You can add Minecraft servers to the list using 'Add Server' so that you can quickly connect to these again in the future, without needing to enter the IP every time.

Can Windows 10 Minecraft play with Java on servers?

\u201cMinecraft: Java Edition\u201d is still supported in Windows 10, so even your PC is running Windows 10, you can still choose to play Java Edition instead of the main version from the Windows Store. TLDR; \u201cMinecraft\u201d can be played cross-platform, but \u201cJava Edition\u201d can only be played with \u201cJava Edition.\u201d

Why is my Minecraft not showing servers?

Possible solutions are: Check that your network connection is enabled, and that no programs are blocking outgoing connections. Try disabling any existing firewall program, or changing its configuration options. Restart your modem/router.
