Different sight indicators

Different sight indicators - Front instrument panel in car in daylight

I noticed that when the enemy has visibility of a champion, the indicator above them is different between Warwick's Blood Scent and most (all?) other abilities, such as Cait's trap. Here are screen grabs of the two:

Is there any functional difference between the two?

Best Answer

You'll also notice a difference with the icon displayed by Nidalee. Why? They give different bonuses.

The eye-like icon is used to indicate that you only have vision over the champion, nothing else (Cait's trap and other such abilities).

Blood scent gives Warwick :

Toggle: Warwick reveals enemy champions within range with less than 50% health.

While any enemies are revealed this way, Warwick has increased movement speed

and Nidalee prowl

Passive - Prowl : SPEEDY CAT Nidalee now receives +10% Movement Speed in all directions while Hunting, which increases to +30% movement speed toward Hunted targets

KITTY SPEED LIMITS At any one time, Nidalee can never receive more than a total of +30% Movement Speed from The Hunt and Brush movement speed bonuses

There are other specific icons (like Twisted Fate's ult) so here's a list of the spells giving vision (thanks Jutschge).

What are sight flow indicators?

A sight flow indicator provides a window into a process pipeline that allows operators a visual means of verifying liquid flow and flow direction. Simple and low-cost, it also allows operators to observe the color, clarity, consistency, viscosity and other characteristics of process fluids.

How do you fish with indicators?

Generally, your indicator should be placed approximately one and a half times the depth of the water up your leader from the bottom fly. So, if you're fishing a run around three feet deep, place your indicator around four and a half feet up from your fly.

Where do you put a strike indicator?

The short answer is that you never actually \u201cneed\u201d a strike indicator. However, it requires less skill to catch fish with a strike indicator than without. You will typically have more success using one. Specifically, with nymphs this decision should be based on the size and weight of the fly.
