Does deflecting a fireball with a looting sword give better drops?

I got 2 ghast tears after I thought I deflected a fireball back at the ghast (with my looting 3 sword). But I was pretty close, so I might have just hit it. I'm not sure.
If I deflect a fireball with a looting sword and it kills the ghast, do I still get the looting bonus?

How do you deflect ghast fireballs with a sword?
No, it doesn't - but the fire damage doesn't apply the Looting effect. If the drowned dies directly from getting slashed by the sword, Looting is applied. If it's set on fire and the fire finishes him off, the chance of dropping the trident is not increased.Does Looting and fire aspect work together?
Looting increases the maximum ghast tears dropped by one per level, for a maximum of 4 ghast tears with Looting III.Does Looting affect ghast tears?
Looting affects any kills while holding the enchanted item in the main hand, not only to kills with the enchanted item.Deflected fireballs can have looting on them
