Does the Game Ban text go away when it lifts?

If I get a cheater ban from Overwatch for ~1 year, will the text of "1 game bans on record" go away when the ban lifts?

How long does it take for a game ban to go away?

Game bans, just like VAC bans are permanent. The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic. Any ban that is displayed on your profile is permanent. VAC bans don't actually get removed after 7 years, only the text does for everyone but you.

Do game bans disappear?

Now, although these bans disappear from a profile publicly, they remain on the profile for the user on the account -- the account still holds the bans. When you have accounts linked, bans travel across them. Nobody wants to play with a toxic teammate, at least individuals that's playing the game properly.

Can game ban be removed?

No. Game bans cannot be appealed and are not removed from accounts.

Do VAC bans ever get lifted?
