How accurate is simcraft?
Most people playing wow know that there is a tool that calculates your max DPS based on your gear/specc etc.
Now while this looks all pretty calculated and professional I just wondered how accurate it actually is. Of course you'll be below the maximum most of the time but I remember some cases where I went above this "Max DPS" in a 4:40-5:00 min patchwork fight (I think it was the third boss in Mogushan vaults 10 man). This was pretty much at the start of the pandaria expansion and maybe simcraft improved their algorithm since then.
After this all happened I really ask myself 2 questions:
How accurate is the "Max-DPS" and How can you do more than "Max-DPS"?

How accurate is Raidbots/SimulationCraft for Shadowlands? Most DPS specs are pretty stable now and most gear is implemented so results shouldn't be too out-of-whack. Yeah, sims are always accurate. Raidbots is your top resource. Good to remember that your stat weights are always shifting as your stats change, so the best way is to always sim new pieces of gear.Is SimulationCraft accurate?
On the whole I've found Simulationcraft to be accurate (as much as I can guess anyhow). It is as only as good as the user though. So it does depend on whether you are using a recent version, make sure it is 7.1. 5-02 and the options you select.Whats BEST for your CHARACTER? Simulationcraft basics!
