How far do chests render from?

How far do chests render from? - From above of travelers on square in front of aged vintage panoramic exploring sightseeing and studying place in daylight

I've been looking around Google, I've gotten no answers. The wiki page said nothing about rendering. How far do chests render from? Are they like normal blocks? In other words, how far away do you have to be from a chest in order for it to disappear?

Best Answer

Chests alone do not count as entities (they are blocks), so they will disappear as soon as the chunk that they are located in is unloaded.

What is the perfect render distance in Minecraft?

Render Distance changes the number of Chunks that are visible from a distance at once. The option has a range of settings which depend on the device used. The minimum (across devices) are 6 chunks, and maximum of 96 chunks. The range is most likely related to the memory available to the device when the game is started.

What does Minecraft render distance depend on?

Minecraft mostly uses a single core of the CPU for chunk rendering. More then twice the ram as the game is going to use is too much, but 12GB seems appropriate for this distance. More then that tends to make the game run slower regardless due to garbage collection.

How do you get high render distance in Minecraft?

A chest cannot be opened if there is an opaque block above it (in Bedrock Edition, bottom-half slabs prevent chests from being opened). Solid faces do not prevent chests from opening, so the lid of the chest can phase through blocks such as bottom-half slabs, stairs, and transparent full cubes such as glass and ice.

Answer 2

Chests are normal blocks. They open and close, but still they are normal blocks. As for "how far so that they disappear", that depends on everyone's client's render distance settings. If you set to 1, then everything outside your 50-block range will disappear. If you set to 16, then the chest can be seen even at 800 blocks far. As soon as they leave your render distance, they disappear. (But they're still there! It's not completely GONE.)
