How much space do large thrusters require?

Space Engineer's wiki suggests that Small Thruster on a Small Ship destroys an area of 3x3x4 (width, height, depth) behind the exhaust, assuming the space is completely enclosed and filled. A small thruster is capable of dealing damage of up to 5 blocks depth over open space. However, the wiki doesn't specify whether large thrusters work the same way, and damage the same area. Since a large block is 5x5x5 of a small block, it's reasonable to assume a destruction zone of 15x15x20. Does anyone know for sure if the destruction zone works that way? I can always test manually, but figured I'd see if stackoverflow knew first.

How much can one atmospheric thruster lift?

Effectiveness In Natural Gravity Example: 1 Large Atmospheric Thruster on a small ship has a force magnitude of 408,000 N and an effectiveness of 90% at sea level. Where 9.81 m/s\xb2 = 1.0 g on Earth.

Do atmospheric thrusters work in space?

Atmospheric thrusters are for ships that will primarily be in atmospheres, such as small surveyors or scout ships. They lose a lot of efficiency in weak atmospheres or in space, so keep them planetside. They require electricity only when active.

Are ion thrusters good space engineers?

However, unlike Atmospheric thrusters which can only work in an atmosphere, Ion thrusters work best in a vacuum, and grow significantly less powerful as they enter thicker atmospheres....Ion Thruster.Thruster, IonFunction:Provides thrust and/or rotationFits small shipMass:Small Thruster:113 kg Large Thruster:721 kg15 more rows
