How to set background for a Steam profile?

I noticed some of my friends can change their Steam background profile. I searched in "Edit Profile" tab to edit mine but I don't see how.

Can someone explain how to do this ?

Go to the Steam Points shop.

Select the Background option.

Add the background to your profile.

Click your username.

Click View Profile or Profile.

Click Edit Profile.

Click Profile Background.

Click to select a background.

How to Customize Your Steam Profile

Open the Steam client.

Click your username in the upper-right.

Click View my profile.

Click Edit Profile in the upper-right.

You should now see the Edit Profile menu.
