Is the area boss required for PVP to be active?
In Dark Souls 2, should the area boss still be alive for PVP to be active in that area? That is to say, should I leave the boss alive so I can get invaded and see summon signs? Or is it still possible to be invaded and see summon signs even if the area boss is dead?
Best Answer
It is possible to see summon signs (Dragon Eye Signs, Red Signs, etc.) and overall be active in a PvP environment even if the boss has been defeated. It was a requirement in previous installments of Souls games (Such as Demon's Souls).
In other words, No, it is not required that the boss is still alive.

How do you PvP in Dark Souls?
In Dark Souls, when playing online, PvP is accomplished by any given player using one of several online-only items to "invade" another player's world or to lay down a challenge which another player can either accept or reject as seen fit.Does demon souls have good PvP?
Still, even though it's not the most balanced competitive experience out there, Demon's Souls PvP is still fun and has a charm of its own. The invasion system gives the game a barbaric feel, where honor is thrown out the window and the only thing that matters is scoring a victory at any cost. How do you stop invasions in dark souls remastered?
Summon as many phantoms as possible while Embered, then wait for an invader to spawn. Players can either kill the invader or die; the result doesn't matter. As long as the player has not used a Dried Finger, they will have a hidden timer that will disable invaders from targeting the player.Elden Ring - My Top 5 PvP Spots - Red Finger Duelist Locations
