Minecraft display problem

Minecraft display problem - Top view wooden table with sheet of paper with advises regarding behavior during coronavirus pandemic

My Minecraft launcher works fine but when I clicked on play, it started loading but all I saw was a black screen. I pressed my Windows button to exit the window only to realise that the game itself was loaded and I could only see it as a small window when I hovered my cursor over the icon of the window. When I clicked on it to bring it to full screen it would only just show a black screen. this happened recently. when i tried opening minecraft, midway into it i closed my discord window, and then when i did the thing in bold, i managed to exit the minecraft window but it showed me the closed discord window. i could not interact with the discord window though.

Why is my Minecraft screen messed up?

It's probably the difference between Minecraft's own fullscreen mode, and the Windows version / graphics card version of it. When you press F11, it's just stretched, but when you go into the options and choose fullscreen, Minecraft will render your screen.

Why does my screen keep going black when I play Minecraft?

If your graphics driver is faulty or outdated, you're likely to encounter a black screen in Minecraft. To fix it, make sure you're using the latest graphics driver. You can search for the newest graphics driver from the GPU manufacturer's website such as NVIDIA, AMD or Intel, then download and install it manually.
